Registration by Building:
This feature lets you restrict registration to only those staff from a specific building, group of buildings, department, or district. This means that if you have a course that's specifically for elementary staff you can specify those buildings in course maintenance and if anyone trying to register for that course doesn't have that building as part of his or her profile, he or she can't register for it.
Authorization Key:
Invitation only, please! Further refining the restriction process, the Authorization Key feature allows you to create a special code that limits registration to a course or conference to only those staff that have been given the Authorization Key before they go to register.
Give the key to a department head or principal and let them decide. It's a great way of guaranteeing pre-approval; if you don't want someone to go, don't give them the key.
Team Registration:
This feature allows a department, building or district to reserve a predetermined number of seats for one of your workshops, in-services, or a conference before a determination has been made as to who will attend from their location.
They make the reservation in Coursewhere by going to the event registration screen on the public side, specifying how many seats they want, and then receive a team registration code from your CW system.
When they've decided who's going, they hand out the team code and the individuals then can go online to your CW site, bring up the event, and using the Authorization Code, "tell" the system which team they're from and who they are. Coursewhere then fills the seats and adds the individuals to the roster.
